Finding a Job is a Full Time Job

I can’t tell you how many people I speak with who tell me that they make a few phone calls a day or spend an hour or two every week looking for work. It’s no surprise to me why they aren’t finding jobs.

People who want to work don’t sit around waiting for the phone to ring. I tried that when I was an actor – it just doesn’t work.

And you can’t spend your days online submitting your resume blindly expecting good results. Our economy doesn’t work that way.

There are many different tasks that need to be accomplished when we conduct a job search. The last time I needed a new job all it took me was one phone call because I had already completed all the tasks that I outline in “7 Days to Your Next Job.”

Jobs are scarce today and only the people who are willing to treat their job search as a full time job are likely to be successful. There are a lot of very talented people out there right now competing for that next job opportunity. If you go the extra mile you will be rewarded with offers of employment.

If you treat your job search like the full time job it is and work with organization, intelligence, and a good attitude, you will find work.
